Ever since his classic 'Sex With The Machines' album from 1997, Anthony Rother has been a mainstay in the German electronic music scene. Undeterred by stylistic fashions, Rother has built a small musical empire - including the labels Data Punk and Psi-City - on his idiosyncratic understanding of electro. His distinct sound might have pure Kraftwerk as its core, but that doesn't stop Rother to incorporate influences of techno, New Wave or pop music into his productions. He has worked with the creme of the crop of Germany's techno scene, including Sven Väth or DJ Hell and remixed artists like Miss Kittin or Nena.
