Adam X Adam X Adam X Music Producer (MP3 Downloads) Artist Sonic Groove
A true veteran of New York's electronic music scene, Adam X played a major role in establishing techno music on the East Coast, together with his brother Frankie Bones. In 1990 the two founded the Sonic Groove record store alongside fellow Brooklyn DJ Heather Heart, later followed by the label of the same name. Always attracted to the harsher sides of techno, Adam has begun to rediscover the European electronic music of the 80s - EBM, Industrial, Electro - and fuse them with modern day techno aesthetics in his productions as well as his DJing.

We can't help it, but four-to-the-floor beats have been our prefered soundtrack to the new year so far. The first two weeks of 2011 have provided us with a solid dose of excellent techno releases - from subtle masterpieces like Robag Wruhme's new mix album more...

Adam X takes a break from his successful Traversable Wormhole project for his first single release on Prologue. 'Downbursts' is an austere, industrial techno banger, while 'Wind Shear Detection' develops more subtle charms with shuffled hats, layered drones, and a bleepy bass line. Recommended.

Review Resident Advisor: Can Adam X ever just be Adam X again? In the aftermath of the enormous success of Traversable Wormhole—both in its original, anonymous incarnation and its reissue series on CLR—it seems the answer is no. The Berlin producer's music appears to have been permanently affected by his flirtation with the Berghain-inspired dance floor sounds. With the exception of a collaborative EP with like-minded techno primitives Ancient Methods,... more...

Berlin underground heroes Ancient Methods and New York's techno pioneer Adam X team up for four slices of killer industrial techno. 'Proarrythmia' and 'Mitral Regurgitation' should drive any dancefloor into submission.
