Acclaimed for his work as a DJ, producer and label owner of New Kanada, Adam Marshall has amassed considerable respect from the electronic music community for his finely tuned blend of lysergic house grooves and smart, sharp techno. Inspired by Andrew Weatherall's masterful approach to electronic production, Warp Records releases, Detroit techno, and mixtapes and live sets from US legends like Derrick Carter, Mick Huckaby, D-Wynn, and Ron Hardy, Marshall started DJing himself, and soon became instrumental in the burgeoning mid-'90s Toronto scene alongside his long-time friends Jeremy P. Caulfield, Jeff Milligan and Mike Shannon. Now based in Berlin, Marshall is busier than ever, DJing, producing and remixing for some of the finest labels out there, including Rekids, Cynosure, and Crosstown Rebels.
