Over the years Mike Kivits, better known as Aardvarck, has built up a solid reputation of uncompromising quality and versatility in the dance scene, both underground and above. From hip hop, disco, funk, jazz & new wave in the early 80s up to the present (together with Steven de Peven from Rednose Distrikt) he's been in the avant-garde of all major dance styles. Aardvarck, inspired by Mr. Fingers' LP 'Amnesia', releases his first record 'The Second Groove 2 The Same Nation' on Miss Djax's Djax Up label in 1993.
His second outing, called 'Extra Voice EP' on Signum Recordings, hits the shops and dancefloors in 1996.
Always parsimonious with his own releases one had to wait another 4 years for a next Aardvarck-EP called 'Spoken'.
The label that has given a home to most of his music though is Delsin Records on which he released his first longplayer 'Find The Cow' in 2001, touching fields of broken beat, ambient and nu jazz. After a bunch of EPs on Delsin ('Non Spoken', 'Re Spoken', 'Nozum') and Rush Hour ('Cult Copy' 1-3), early 2006 sees the release of Aardvarck's second album 'Cult Copy' to worship one of his heroes: Carl Craig.

Picked!
Hot on the heals of his 'Anti Concept EP' Aardvarck releases his entire 'Anti Concept: The Album' project: 27 short sketches covering a range of styles from experimental neo-classical to abstract hip-hop, dubstep and (way) beyond. A truly brain-twisting album - brilliant.
