One of the UK's most influential imprints for experimental pop music, The Leaf Label was founded in 1994 by Tony Morley, who eventually quit his job at 4AD to make Leaf his full time occupation. During the 1990s, Leaf made a name for itself with an excellent selection of left-field electronica, and while synthetic sounds continue to have a place on the label, recent years have seen its roster expand to include more analogue music with acts like A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Colleen, Murcof, or the brilliant Efterklang.
