biography

Growing up in different areas of England, on a steady diet of Motown, techno & the blossoming UK hardcore scene, James Clements started producing drum 'n bass around 1997, starting his own label Covert Operations in 2000. His productions established ASC as one of the most prolific and forward thinking producers in drum 'n bass music. Teaming up with Instra:mental, ASC's work has featured prominently in the Autonomic podcasts, and from 2009 on, ASC will be working exclusively with the Nonplus and Exit Records labels run by Instra:mental and dBridge . In the winter of 2004 ASC relocated to San Diego, where he currently resides.

First album release on one of the most exciting labels around at the moment, and as expected, it is a real gem. ASC delivers his very own definition of drum & bass / dub-step / techno hybrids, taking you on long journey into unknown sonic territories. Highly recommended!
