Dylan Hermelijn a.k.a. 2000 and One is one of the major figures of the Dutch House music scene, only just now receiving the accolades for almost two decades of DJing, production and label work. Growing up in Amsterdam's B-Boy and Hip Hop community, Hermelijn quickly got into Acid House in the late 80s and started to record for legendary Dutch techno labels such as E.S.P., Lower East Side Productions, Djax-Up-Beats and Eevo Lute Muzique with well known projects such as Planet Gong, Edge of Motion and of course as 2000 and One. In 1993 he started 100% Pure Records with partner Sandy Hunter, a label that enjoyed a long run of success until 1998, when a dominance of hard loop-driven techno forced the label out of business. After taking a prolonged break he returned to the music business in 2003 and immediately landed a smashing dancefloor hit with the track Adonai Elohim and Shinedoe's Dillema. From this point on Hermelijn's career got into full swing and his recent productions and remixes for the likes of Aardvarck and Modeselektor include some of the biggest tunes of the year 2007.
